I'm thinking about making out for SIN Do and Post Do. What is a good corporate rate code to book at the hotel with?

Put me as Gold. I'm really interested in going, but I'll need to apply for leave (shouldn't be too difficult, I'd think), then of course flights and all that jazz and so on...
First SIN Do - I hope to be able to go!

Any word on the aviation event yet?
Also, would really like some info on the post do. I know I asked before but have received no replies and am getting ready to finalize my travel arrangements.
TIA

So updates on the DO planning...
-First off, I'm a little later on typing these than I meant to be. My left arm is finally out of a cast.
-Regardless, the dates are correct and the events are still in the works. However, some do events are more current and I've updated the Vietnam Port Do portion with better details.
Expect something closer to the final schedule in November.
Additionally, I'm going to do a different way to register for events than in the past. For now, just post if you're coming, and I'll get the details closer to late October.
Regarding, the post DO, expect it to end on January 21 and head home then if you care to.

You need to purchase a visa in advance. The total cost is about $27 or $37 and I've used auroratravel.asia numerous times without an issue. You need about a week lead time for processing, but it's a super easy process. Regarding flights, I'd suggest aiming for something that gets into Da Nang before 7:00 PM. I'll probably be flying on VN to SGN and then connect from that.

I was just reading that you can get a Visa on Arrival (VOA) instead of purchasing it in advance. Does anyone have experience with this, or have a reason not to do this?

I can tell you that I did it once on arrival in SGN, and while cheaper than purchasing one in advance, it was a huge pain in the butt. Long lines, confusion, people without the correct currency, unhelpful agents, etc. I know others have reported no problem with VOA at smaller airports like DAD, so maybe it won't be the royal mess it was in SGN. I'll be getting mine in advance this trip...
Why SGN over HAN is simply a monstrous time saver. HAN is almost 2 hours flying north of SGN, so SGN should be quickest.
