Saver availability to LEX is quite variable, at least on AA, and will pop up periodically. Maybe ExpertFlyer would be of use. Don't know about UA/DL. Here is the list of airlines serving LEX; with 80 flights a day, award space is likely at some point:

Wonder if AA will retain some of the US flights after merger.

you would be more than welcome to join us. Just be aware that it would be a loooong trip for you, your flights, + the 6+ hour drive to Lexington.

If you were planning on renting a car, IND and CMH are both 3 hours from LEX.@:-)

Add me to the tentative list. My work schedule is entirely up in the air for 2014, but I'm hopeful.

I've booked a room at the 4Points for the weekend - still a great deal even at a category 2.

I won't be coming now. Looks like I maybe going to either MEX, PDX or BOS that weekend for my spring vacation.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but thought I pass it on:

UA has 10K + $2.50 redemption ORD-LEX April 4, 8 am.
But no return until Monday morning, 6 am.

AA has low level redemption ORD-LEX only Thurs morning and Mon. evening. Use 9K Avios. Make a long weekend of it. Plenty to do around LEX and the weather should be nice, if maybe a bit chilly.

Count me in for the Do. As long as no business travel pops up I will be there.

For those of you driving down from Chicagoland, did you know you will be driving through the land of great bourbon?

...Indiana!

I sent this rec to one of our Keeneland regulars and wanted to share with the whole group that the best bourbon I have had of recent is actually distilled in Indiana: James E. Pepper 1776 15-year.

Great stuff and I highly recommend giving it a try (note that James E. Pepper currently sells four whiskeys: 100-proof and 15-year old rye and 100-proof and 15-year old (bottled at 92 proof I believe) bourbon - the one that knocked my socks off was the 15 yr old bourbon. Pricey but a worthy special occasion bourbon.
