mile ho and I were kicking around some ideas. Since many folks are arriving mid-late Friday, we thought it advisable to perhaps have one bourbon tour and one horse farm tour both on Friday and Saturday, so everyone would get some variety.

He is going to work out something with the farms in next week or so. Probably a mare farm and a stallion farm. Visits are very likely to be in the mornings, as horse people tend to rise early and knock off early.

Thinking about Sunday for Keeneland. LEX is across the street for your getaway.

Sunday April 6 is Military Day at Keeneland. Active duty, Reserve, vets, and families get in free! Some free food/music as well. If you qualify, bring your ID.

Perhaps the Track Kitchen before the races and maybe watch the horses exercise in the morning.

Will be in very late Friday night, but can stay through the majority of Sunday afternoon. Will join activities some time Saturday morning depending on how early I can get up!

Regretfully unable to attend after all. Hope to make it later. Hope you all have a great time!

I too have a room reserved at the Sheraton if someone wants it. Please let me know.

I flew through LEX yesterday.

There is an airline club there, with access for the following:

AA Admirals Club
DL Sky Club
UA Red Carpet Club
"Day Passes," presumably Priority Pass (?) and maybe for anyone

Anybody come across a decent price for a rental car out of CVG?

Weekend rates aren't cheap & the airport seems to tack on almost as many fees as PHX or MIA .

fwiw, at the moment I'll likely fly into CVG Thurs night & head over to LEX on Fri morning.

Of course that could all change if I can figure out a way to work in some Carlson or even less likely, IHG, stays to complete current promos.

more than likely I'll be able to pick you up/drop you off in CVG. I'll know more for sure in the next few days.

Is the itinerary ad hoc? Or will it be determined before we arrive?

I'm wondering since my wife and I will try to meet up with the group at around noon on Saturday. Also my wife prefers to know what she is doing in advance so she can research the destinations/locations.
