Ann Arbor Art Fair DO 9, July 20-21, 2013
Well, I've decided to get this going again. I appreciate Grizshel keeping the ball rolling while I slacked off.
I missed it last year, as I had booked an Amtrak trip after hearing how great Amtrak is during the last several DOs. I unfortunately forgot to check the calendar for when Art Fair was and booked the trip starting that weekend.
Not going to make the same mistake this year.
So, here's the plan so far. We are going back to our roots.
I've reserved the freeSpace at the downtown library for both Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. It holds 32. If or when we hit that number, we will have a wait list. If you have been a speaker at the DO before, I will save you a spot even if it fills up.
Right now, I'm not planning on inviting any one person to speak. There are a lot of knowledgeable people out there and we will just share tips and smoking deals. Who knows though...
Saturday dinner will be at the Original Cottage Inn, and have breakfast Sunday at Webers, as that is still a smoking deal.
Feel free to respond as committed or tentative, and let me know if you are bringing someone to the meeting or just to dinner or brunch. Or if you are just coming to the meeting or a meal or meals.

I just want to make sure any previous speaker will be able to attend and hold a slot for them.
And you know, George, travel DOES involve more than visiting all the different Panera's in the world.

Mrs Bob H and I will be on the road (ok trains) that week, so probably won't make it.
We already have 10 days on trains planned for 2013 and it's still 2012.
It's hard to think of summer when we're digging out from snow !
