Unhappy RIP: wwbgd

It is with heavy, heavy heart that I post this message.
My friend, colleague, business partner, fellow FTer, and world traveller, wwgbd, passed away this past Friday night after a multi-year battle with cancer. Boris was with his family and was not in pain as he passed on.

Many of you knew him, many of you spent time with him, many of you knew his daughter - Masha - from a recent SIN DO. He was a kind spirit, a gentle soul who saw good in everyone that he met.

He was a champion till the end, never letting on how the pain hit him.

I introduced Boris to FT and he found many kindred spirits here as he traveled for the love of travel.
I shall miss him. Those of you who met him know what I mean. Those of you who weren't able to meet him are not as rich as you would have been - had you done so.

We all leave here much too soon. Some "sooner" than others.

I hope that Boris brought a bit of joy to your life, as I know that he did to mine.

RIP, Boris!! You're already missed!

Dave

That's so sad. I remember many happy evenings spent with him (and you)
over pitchers of Tiger, of which I shall raise one in his memory tomorrow.

Thanks for letting us know, and condolences to his loved ones.

I enjoyed many days with Boris over the years in Singapore. I'm sad to hear of his passing.

Dave, my condolences to you and to his family. He will be remembered at this and at all future SIN dos.

Boris, RIP my friend.

Awful, and for me unexpected, news.

The last time I ran into Boris was several years ago at Heathrow, in one of the clubrooms waiting for a flight with one of his adult children. He was a very pleasant person, whom unfortunately I only knew from a few occasions.

My condolences to Dave and to Boris' family.

Dave, I never met Boris, but feel your pain; as I lost a childhood friend several years back. It's hard when you lose a close friend. Sorry for your loss.

I'm not sure if I can do this " properly", but if so, here are a couple of pictures.
Boris at San Telmo market, Buenos Aires, spring 2004 and a picture of both he and the late 'Newself' in Seoul 2008
