In looking at those who are around it looks like the 7th might be a good day to meet up at the IBC pub? Assuming all have passes; if you don't have one, click on the register for free link BristolTraveller provided).

Bristol - is/are the bloke(s) that you invited at IBC last year & NAB this year going to be at the show? Let them know if they are.

marriottlover, you & I overlap at the Marriott on dates so we could meet up in the exec lounge.

Cheers.

A heads up. They're going to be doing some maintenance which could impact travel on the 7th-8th. Seriously, they pick the weekend when 45,000 visitors are in town?!

Info in this link, along with some other travel info.

Cheers.

Ok, let's set the time & place.

1:00pm (13.00) Friday Sept 7th in the IBC Pub.

Cheers.

I'll be there. You'll recognise me - I'll have red-eyes and an ashen face. The demise of bmi Diamond Club has affected me deeply.

That's better than doing it during the week when a lot more use this route to commute

I'll be there working for an equipment manufacturer, so unfortunately my time is not my own during the day and I probably can't meet up.

I am flying the same dates you are Sharon -- non-stops ORD/AMS/ORD.

You can be seat buddies!

I'd love a seat buddy for BRS-AMS, but knowing KL, it'll get subbed out to Beechcraft 1900D. (No seat pairs).

(* This is an in-joke for BRS KL fliers. We've been promised ERJ-190's to replace our F70's, just like we were promised F100's to replace the F50's, and ended up on F70's).

True, but doing it the week before or after a trade show that brings 45,000 visitors to AMS might have been a bit better. It's not like they didn't know about the show.

Well tell the mfr you need to eat & then just schedule it for 1pm .

BTW - I accidently scheduled a 10-hour layover at ORD , so I'll be hanging out in the United Club if you want to meet before the flight on the way over.

On the return I'm flying back via FRA vs. on the non-stop - ie, I followed the upgrade.

Cheers.

Headed to the airport in a bit. Will see mmayer at the United Club later today, as he's on the same flight.

Hoping LH doesn't strike on the 12th since my return is AMS-FRA on LH & the rest on UA. Worst case I take the train to FRA to get my on-going flight.

Cheers.

See folk at the IBC Pub tomorrow (ie, Friday the 7th) at 1:00 (13:00).

I'll bring a Flyertalk tag for the table.

Cheers.

We've established the FT IBC DO table right at the door to IBC 'Pub'.

Come say hello if you're here.

And meet we did, by the door. You missed beer, steak and meatball sandwiches.

Until next year...

It was good seeing BristolTraveller & catching up (although a bit quickly due to mutual trade show schedules).

Met mmayer as we were exiting flight upon arrival in AMS, and he wasn't sure he'd even have a chance to leave his booth.

And as BT says, until next year...

Cheers.
