Westmont, IL, Aug. 7, Katy's Dumpling House dinner
iris30 is in town in early August and we thought we'd have a DO at Katy's Dumpling House in Westmont. 6 pm, Tues., August 7.

They advertise "Traditional Hand-pulled Noodles & Handmade Dumplings" and I almost always stop there for lunch when I am in the area. Cash only and I am pretty sure it's BYOB.

Wish I could join you all, as that is our old neighborhood . . . we lived in Downers Grove and Dad worked at Carrier Corporation in Westmont.
And, I LOVE dumplings!

Won't be in Chicago again till Labor Day weekend.

thanks for confirming BYOB, now I'll just need to figure out public transportation which I'm guessing isn't going to be easy from where I live to Westmont.

Put me down as a maybe. I will be in town but my dad is having surgery that day so I'm just not sure right now where I will be come 6pm. If I can be there, I will be but it might be a last minute thing. This is right near me so I will do my best, its been too long!
Willie, there is no public transportation from Des Plaines to Westmont that I know of!

There is a bus but it requires 2 transfers which will add too much time, so I'll be driving.
