July 7: Lunch in Mannheim, Germany
My husband and I will be in Germany in early July. I'd love to meet both German FTers and anyone traveling in the area. Is anyone available for lunch on Saturday, July 7? Alter Simpl was recommended as a good place to eat in a thread in the Germany forum.

Probably a typical place with lots of locals - very down to earth menu and pricing.
I'd probably be joining you for lunch as its only a 90 min drive to Mannheim from my hometown.

Unfortunately I have to cancel my trip to Southern Germany and Alsace and thus cannot made it to Mannheim either. I am really disappointed, but I have obligation until 14:00 on July 7th in and around Düsseldorf
Enjoy dinner and have a pleasant trip.

I'm actually in Berlin right now. However, I will be in Breslau on the 7th, so I can't make it. And besides, Mannheim is quite the journey from Berlin to begin with. Enjoy your lunch. Do they do the Maultaschen there? How about Spaetzle?

What time is 'lunch' for you all? Noon or later?
Since I am in Heidelberg and it is a short SBahn ride I thought I'd try to make this little 'Do'.
Just need a time?

We are flexible. I'm hoping to hear from the two fellows as to whether their plans have firmed and what time suits.
Would love to meet. We, too, are coming from Heidelberg where we are staying the prior night.

I would enjoy meeting with other lovers of travel. I'll plan on arriving in Mannheim around noon and head to Alter Simpl. Ill be riding a pink bike. I am the Barbie (doll) of bikes, long blonde hair and all (I'm just a few years older then the doll )

We are now booked on Saturday at Alter Simple in Mannheim. I've booked an outdoor table at 12:30pm under Carol. We are looking forward to meeting everyone there.
Thank you for the intriguing offer. I think we have a conflict but will be in touch should I be wrong.
We should meet Friday evening at Schwarzer Peter in the Weststadt and have a cool drink. It's where I live (not at the pub, of course! )
