CHICAGO - Progressive Vietnamese Dinner Do - June 27

Hey all, Chicago has a terrific little Saigon area on the north side of Chicago (Argyle & Broadway).

I was thinking of having a progressive dinner in late June. Think small bites of quite a variety of Vietnamese food staples.

Stop #1: Cafe Hoang for their Goi Ga salad

Stop #2: Ba le for some banh mi sandwiches

Stop #3: either some banh xeo &/or grilled beef in spring roll thit nuong rau song

Stop #4: Pho

Stop #5: a surprise

Date: June 27

Start Time: 6:30pm

Anyone interested?

Assuming I'm in town, soon-to-be Mrs. zcat18 and I would definitely be up for this!

Glad you two are interested.

Not counting my chickens yet. She still has four months to change her mind, after all

I will be attending my son's wedding in Lake Tahoe that weekend. Coming home late on 6/25 so depending on my work schedule, I can only only be a maybe at this point. Sounds great though!

Now that you are an Omni/PR mod, you have to retain your neutrality. If you are going to have a progressive dinner you will have to balance it with a conservative meal.

I would love to join in but my fiancee accepted a pharmacy residency position so we'll be moving at the end of June out to Seattle! If there are any more Tuesday burger meet-ups at Beer Bistro before then I'd love to go, but otherwise I need to start looking at FT Seattle get-togethers.

Have fun with the progressive dinner - I've always wanted to do one of those!

As long as I'm in town, I will attend. This is very close to my home so if anyone needs directions, I can assist.

This sounds great. Willie, you keep coming up with some great DOs.

No preference for either 26th or 27th. I will try very hard to arrange travel to attend. Strong "probably" for now....

Have you picked a date yet? I'd definitely be interested & I'm sure one of my FT-lurking friends would be, too, but I'm not available on the 26th.
