MCI BBQ DO VI --May 6-8, 2011
t's time for another BBQ DO!! Same as last year. UYou know the drill 
As we have done in years past, the festivities will include a large amount of BBQ from the best places that KC has to offer:
-Oklahoma Joe's (inside the Diamond Shamrock gas station)--Mission Road---This one is on the Kansas side.

-Arthur Bryant's and Gates (the Originals) on Brooklyn Avenue

We will keep the schedule the same as we have in years past:
FRIDAY:
HAPPY HOUR AT THE CROSSROADS (Should be a First Friday!!):
5-8pm
-Lydia's
-Jack Stack
After the extended happy hour we will meat..uhh..I mean..meet for dinner between 8-9pm at Fiorella's Jack Stack in the Crossroads District. This dinner has worked pretty well with separate checks so I think we will go with that again this year.

Mark me as interested, especially as the Royals are at home that Sunday and I want to see the renovated stadium. I will know for sure a little closer to the date.

I think I'm going to stick with May 6-8. I understand that Mother's Day weekend may not work for some, but I think it will be the best time to come to KC since May 6 will be a First Friday in the Crossroads District. Also, the host (myself) may have some problems finding some available weekends after May 6.
I apologize ahead of time if May 6-8 doesn't work for some. We will always have next year!

Thanks for heading this up again, Rob! I just remembered that there's a good chance that I may have to pick up my new car in South Carolina that weekend. BBQ or BMW? That's a no brainer. I just booked my flight to MCI
