Do Signage

I'm hosting a do later this week and need some sort of sign so other FTs can find me! Does anyone have a FlyerTalk sign or large logo I can print out?

The most common "sign" are the bright yellow FlyerTalk tags that can be sent to you by our Community Director (if you don't have any).

Attach to something and make them visible to anyone walking in.

Or just tell everyone to look for the geekiest people in the room. That usually works just as well.

+1 on all accounts

Also, if at a restaurant, make the reservation under Flyertalk & explain to the hostess that y'all don't know each other, most are very helpful for directing folks in the right direction.

That works for most DOs, with one exception.

You must be referring to Soup Do. Nothing but studs, Captains of Industry, Masters of the Universe and knockout babes at that one!

Grab a boarding pass and stick it in your breast pocket. You are bound to be recognized, especially at a place like a restaurant where people don't normally walk in the door with BPs...

Negative sir no boarding pass needed. that is super dorky......

My advice would be to Listen for people talking about airlines, air travel, and as that is not a common topic for discussion amongest "normal people" ..........

I would hate to get the nickname "Mr. boarding pass"...... I had several famous and infamous nicknames during college

Don't worry, you're already Mr. Typo, no need for a new nickname

excellent, I was in the market for a new nickname. Mainly because "Big Easy" wasn't really applicable anymore.

I thank you very much for the new nickname CMK

See you at the Do tomorrow! I will have one of my FT tags somewhere so I will be recognized.
