I know that I am getting proficient in Aussie since I can mostly understand serfty and get almost everything from itsalongwaydown's palaver.

I guess it will now be time to work on trying to figure out what BundyBear is trying to say, possibly the ultimate Aussie language challenge.

Fine don't talk to me then; I just won't turn up.

Don't know how I got into this discussion as we all know the main culprit.

It will be good to see everyone, when I eventually turn up that is, if I get on the plane of course.

At least *A Flyers above comment is pretty clear.

Do we really need a third language here? We prefer not to seek Nu Zullunda!

Anyway back on topic..

Arriving on UA863 and connecting on to QF787 on the 25th (connection a little tight but booked a flexible fare just in case)

Leaving QF1476 on 27th (departs 14:55)

Booked for the Crowne Plaza

I must thank our OZFest hosts for their exquisite timing: bringing the US$ back into parity with the AU$ just in time!

Just as you and I were hoping and semi-expecting ever since that rate cut earlier this month.

Now let's see if the $.9797 six month forward can happen in six days.

With this sort of stuff you never know.

I was originally on QF787, but with the time needed to claim my checked bag, deal with customs, and transfer to the domestic terminal, I changed my flight to QF1473 (10:40am). The change was less than $100.

I'm on the upper-deck on SFO-SYD. Hope to see you there.

At .985, the 1.5% credit card fee charged by hotels will make the currencies almost exactly equal!

I am working on name tags at last. If you have had a correct name tag previously I will use the same details. If not, please let me know.

If you haven't attended before I will use the names from the registration details. PM me if you want something different used.

The tags will look something like this:

but will of course be updated for Canberra. :+>
