Well I had such FUN with the first seven of these (and other special ones so) may I announce:

SOUP DO 8 YIKES eight years of SOUP!

DATE: Friday June 3, 2011
TIME: 8pm
PLACE: La Bonne Soupe on West 55th ST NYC

For about $25 with tax you can get a nice salad, bowl of soup and desert with drink (nice microbrews for the beer lovers among us) There are other great menu items... the burger is a favorite of several FT ers

Its open to Flyertalkers who want to give it a try and repeat SOUPERS...

Im planning on aparty of twenty which hopefully will get us the secret private room downstairs. The manager though says if we get more we can get a good chunk of the upstairs dining area (that's what happened with Soup DO 7.)

Hoping to see familiar faces and maybe meet a few FTers I havent before and see others I havent seen in awhile.

WooHoo! The tradition continues.

Correct me if I'm wrong Catman, but if memory serves me correctly, isn't Soup DO the evening before the BRT?

I have to continue this tradition.... i have so much fun at this drama free event and hopefully save everyone some money to enjoy NYC.

darn the day before my CFA exam, put me down as Confirmed/Strong Maybe, but might be vanishing off early to get some rest before the exam... Third Soup Do for me...

We hate to miss the Soupe Do but this time it looks like the dates are mighty unfriendly. If anything changes, we will be sure to give Catman some agita since he will then need to figure out how to fit us in.

PS for Tcooke... I've always done Soup Do as NO prepay. Generally the servers can do separate checks.

Last year worked out nicely... they did separate checks for each of the several tables we had. The only possible problem is who will get the miles!

If anyone's ever in the NYC area and wants to give this place a try PM me. We don't have to have a SOUP DO to come here (and a few FTers got their own special Soup Dos!)
