Maybe (and double maybe for Mrs CO FF). We have parental driving duty that night (chauffeuring 2 kids to 2 different parts of the area), and don't have the details yet...

Darn it, I just noticed this thread. I checked flight prices today, and a one-day trip to LAX is $279. I pass on dinner this time.

OK, the date is quickly approaching. Can any of the maybes confirm? Anyone have a restaurant suggestion near LAX? As I mentioned before, the earlier the dinner can be, the better, as Captain Denny has an early flight on Sunday.

Bummed I can't make it, but I did get to see Captain Denny last week at ORD at the start of the MegaDo!

There's always the Proud Bird, Siam (Thai), the Mexican place & some other place all close by that FTers meet at regularly. Check w/ flyinhawaiian; he knows the names of the others.

We haven't done Siam in a while, so my vote would be for Siam, provided that Captain Denny likes Thai food. However.....I would recommend calling them first to secure a reservation, since once a bunch of Flyertalkers showed up, and they were closed that night.

Any of the other suggestions are fine, too.

I won't be able to make it this weekend. Thanks, as always, to you for arranging this and to the good Captain and his F/O for putting up with us FTers.

My wife & I can't make it - our chauffeur duties for our teenagers conflicts with dinner. Bummed!

I had dinner at Siam a few months ago and have to say, IMO, the food quality has slipped a bit.

Let's see; we've taken the good Captain to The Proud Bird and then to Truxtons. As I recall, he likes a place with a nice selection of beers on tap; one place I would suggest is the Daily Grill in El Segundo, as it's a relatively large restaurant, there is ample parking, and they open for dinner at 4 p.m.

I'm still not certain if I can make it; sorry.
