Radisson Sotkcholm Royal Viking

I booked this because it appears to be at the Central staton and I have an early train the following morning. Does anyone have any experience with this hotel?
Thanks,

Based on my experience with other Radisson SAS/Radisson Edwardian hotels in Europe, in general, I would not hesitate to stay at any Radisson SAS property (not to be confused with Radisson hotels in North America).

The hotel is not very impressive. For the same rate you would be able to stay in much nicer hotels in Stockholm like the Victory (in old town).
Just next to the Railway station there is Nordic Light hotel that also is better than the Royal Viking

Avoid both Radisson hotels in Gothenburg too if possible.

Best

I had a very reasonable stay at this hotel a couple of years back. I cannot comment on the restaurant (you don't need a hotel restaurant in this city) but the Sky Bar gives decent views of downtown Stockholm.

Note: I cannot comment on the the hotels recommended by the other posters here as this was my one and only stay in the centre of the city.

Thanks,
I have stayed their a couple of times and it is walking distance to the train station and the train is very easy to use from the airport...
a nice but not a great hotel but it is in the center of the city...
Iam not sure what your looking for
but their are some OUTSTANDING upscale bars nearsby where you can have dinner and then meet some Swedes if your so inclined
I found them a great way to meet the locals and found it VERY enjoyable

The hotel is almost integrated with the railway station and some of the trains literally stop next to the entrance of the hotel (at least the express train to the airport).

I have not stayed there (as you might figure out from my "where I live" to the left), but generally what I have heard, other people who have stayed there have been satisfied.
It's a traditional business style hotel, the lobby looks quite nice with an atrium but as already mentioned there are other hotels in the city with more atmosphere. Radisson SAS Strand Hotel has a more elegant and old/traditional atmosphere for example.
The sky bar is very well-known among the locals and the view up there is quite impressive, allow time to visit it for some drinks.
The hotel is also very centrally located with a short walking distance to the main city centre where all shops and restaurants are.

Radisson SAS is a good and reliable quality hotel chain so I'm sure you'll get a nice stay there.
