will i earn points if i book a room for someone else using cash and points?

If i use cash/points and put the room in another person name will I earn points for that room? Do you think I would earn bonus points also. The promition stay more/earn more?

I did two c+p bookings for my in-laws. For the first one, I got points and night/stay credit. For the other, nothing.
When points posted, it triggered the promotion points too.

Yes, cash and point stays and nights qualifies for both status and promos. With the booking bonus it's often a good alternative to redemptions.
