ALL Citi HHonors application links are now DEAD.

Citi's contract to issue Hilton co-branded cards ends December 31, 2017. Citi will sell most accounts to American Express. The criteria for determining which accounts are eligible to be sold are unpublished. Read Hilton FAQ: http://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/e...-card-faq.html .

It's whatever is specified in the terms of the offer you are reading, but 24 months is now typical. 18 months used to be typical, and this changed in August 2016.

You are presumably looking at older posts. It changed last year (in two steps not far apart) from 18 months per card type to 24 months per program. See this thread:
Things are always changing in the world of points & miles, so if you see conflicting posts, please check when those posts were made, they may have been accurate at the time they were made but are no longer so.

I just grabbed another 40K HH Visa. Last Citi application was 2/5/17.

Well over 6 apps in the past 6 months at all banks.

I had to call in, 3 minute call and approved , no questions asked, $11k CL

Are you going to try for a match? I didn't even know a no-24 link was back up.

Maybe I'm thinking of the higher bonus. Too many things swimming around in my head lately.

I still have close to 1 million HH points and with the new transfer rules we have about 2 million combined so need to risk the 40K asking for a match.

Just an FYI, my last app was for an AA card.

Do you have an open Hilton card? Just wondering because we were denied 2x in the fall with a no-24 link, yet we can churn AA cards. I was thinking maybe it was our open Citi Hilton cards.

I can say from experience there's no problem with having multiple HH cards open, and I know from his prior posts that flyer4512 has had several open at the same time. He's basically the king of churning the HH card. Citi is so YMMV with everything, it's hard to know what to expect, but I wouldn't be deterred from trying again for an HH card if you want another.

I have a HH Visa that has been open since 2012. At one time I had over a dozen HH Visas open but closed them all ( except my oldest) last year.

What reason did they give fore denying you the HH Visa ? If they will approve an AA there is no reason why they wouldn't approve a Hilton Visa.

No shot clock on activation but if I remember correctly this is normal. Will post another DP after 40K posts.

I suspect that everyone knows that the 40K offer works - no one has reported that it does not work. The only DP that I believe anyone would be really interested in is if it DOES NOT work. By keeping reporting "good" results and bumping up this thread, all everyone is doing is promoting the application and hastening Citi shutting it down.

We have had similar offers for 17-18 months now, one link die a new one shows up and so on, i am sure it is safe to report data every now and then specially when we use new links that others have not had experience with.

Let me guess, you think CITI has no idea what's going on.

As was posted above this is like the 4th (or maybe even more) 40K link without 24 month language be posted so I'm not sure if anyone has used it successfully as my last 40K card was from November using a different link

I'll pass on the data points ( good or bad) from now on to make you happy
