My understanding is "yes" as of Monday. I checked with a Citi personal banker as I am thinking about applying for it.

I stopped by a branch on Friday and applied for the 60k offer. The rep was very knowledgeable about the card and told me about the AF discount if I opened a CitiGold account, which I simply declined. I asked the branch rep how long the 60k promo was going and he said they usually run quarterly, so his guess would be through the end of December but added Citi could also pull it at any time.
Today I called 800-695-5171 to check on my app status. Things hit a snag because my SSN was entered incorrectly. Once that was corrected the phone rep then said I needed to move some credit around. Two minutes later I was approved.

30k for spending $3,000 in the first three months and then 30k after spending $15,000 on 12 months. Annual fee is 350. And add 15% thankyou points bonus for being gold each year.

30k pts after $3k in purchases within the first 3 months of becoming a cardmember and 30k pts after a total of $15k in purchases within the first 12 months.

Essentially, you get 60k points worth approx. $600 for annual fee of $350 plus $15,000 spend. I think there are much better promotions available

I disagree. There is a statement credit every year if 250 for airline fares. So AF is 100 and 60k points on AA (my main use) equals 960 dollars

Here is possibly a stupid question. I have no branches nearby, like within 200 miles. I applied for and received the standard 30K point offer in early October for the last gasp attempt to get the companion benefit, etc. Has anyone called and asked to match to the branch offer? Is there an offer code that is needed? Will Citi even entertain this type of request regardless?
I knew about the difference between the in branch vs. online application but with no desire to drive 3-5 hours to find the nearest branch, I am ok with the decision I made. I am just wondering if it is worth a call.
Gracias
