Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

my first statement closed the past Sat. and there is no mentioning of flight points on the PDF statement. I had booked my flight in July but will not fly until Jan 2015. Can I still earn flight points for this flight?
Also I had met the spending requirement for the sign up bonus and no bonus points on this statement.... Is it normal? My past experience with citi is that the bonus will show up in the statement if I meet spending requirements in that billing cycle...

The Flight Points will post at the end of the first billing cycle after the cycle in which the the first flight of the itinerary is scheduled to occur. This means you will see them on your February or March statement depending on the date of the flight versus your January closing date.

thank you Mia.
citi website is indeed very difficult to navigate. I just realized my prestige card didn't seem to have been linked automatically to my existing thank you member account (from my forward). I see my points on the prestige statement but they are not in my thank you account. In my thank you member account I can see my prestige card as a sponsor account but why wouldn't points earned from prestige be added to my thank you member account? What does this mean?? I'm seriously very confused now. Please help! Thank you!

The free golf benefit says that three rounds are available "per calendar year". Does this mean that I can get 3 rounds in 2014 and 3 rounds in 2015 before my card expires?

For those who got their cards converted it seemed you will be able to double dip (sort of) on the airline fees. I already used my $200 since my annual date starts in April and I called today was told starting Oct 18, I will again gain $250 airline fee reimbursement.

ooh, well that is interesting. I was going to book a one way flight that is less than $100 before the 15% discount ran out, but maybe I'll just wait and try and get it for free after Oct 18th. I've already used my $200 for the year.

In practice (not based on T&C) is it <=$100 or <=$99.99?

Any experience with getting reimbursed for a $100 fee (or gift card) for any airline?

I was told by a Citi CSR that the fee should be less than $100 (that is <=$99.99) to be reimbursed. I told him T&C reads <=$100, but he insisted despite that it would be <=$99.99 for an automatic reimbursement, otherwise for a $100 fee I need to call and they would honor it. This seemed weird to me...

Thanks!

I have adjusted my expectation for consistency or competence from Citi CSRs, yet once upon a time one of them manages to surprise me.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but do previously earned flight points from ThankYou Premier convert over to Prestige? Thank you.

If you upgrade an existing account the ThankYou point and Flight point balances should remain intact. However, if you apply for a new account those balances will remain associated with the original account and both would disappear if you close that account.

Thanks. I'm thinking of switching from Premier to Prestige but will miss the 3x dining/ent category

The Prestige gives 2x so keeping both and using the Premier for that extra point may be worth it if you spend more than $7813 per year on that category. ($125 annual fee / 0.016 on AA travel).

If you don't, then you need to figure out if the loss of the extra point on that category is offset by the additional point on travel + the higher AA 1.6x rate, etc.
