Overall, I am quite happy that Choice kicked the butts of those guys out of the Quality Inn system - those "Blue Boys" really put a black mark on the brand.

However, I can sympathize completely with the people that now get hit with reservation cancellations - or a 500% rate hike. Class action against the Sleazeball Motor Inn, ahemm Blue Boy Motor Inn might be in order.

Who knows, the place might go out of business as a result and do everybody a favour!

Thumbs up Choice did respond to my mail!

Today I received a call from Choice hotels. They started by pointing out that they had parted ways with the property and apologized for my bad experience.

Choice offered me 8000 points in compensation, which I gladly accepted. In essence, they gave me a free night. I am happy with the outcome: a free night for a bad night - and ding, dong, the witch is dead. Or at least no longer part of Choice.
