OK, it's an awkward path, but on the Choice Hotels home page, there's a green box that says, "Learn how Choice Privileges members can earn 500 BONUS POINTS!" The link takes you to the three-night stay promo page.
At the bottom is this:
"BONUS! Choice Privileges members can earn free nights even faster! Get 500 BONUS POINTS for every completed qualifying stay booked at choicehotels.com or 800.4CHOICE!**
**Members must book qualifying stays at choicehotels.com or 800.4CHOICE at any hotel included in the Choice Privileges program with arrival between Aug. 31 and Nov. 19, 2009 to be eligible for 500 bonus points offer. Maybe they realized how weak the 3 night offer is and needed a sweetener. I also see its an elite only offer so it may be an attempt to demo the elite promo.
Thanks, I missed the email in my inbox, i just registered. Of coarse today is the 2d of october, and I just completed a 4 night stay,lol. Why couldnt I have waited a week, that would have been 6000 points instead of 2000! Oh well, thanks for the info though!!!!

I'm confused. If you really did a "4 night stay" (singular) as you say wrote above (as opposed to 4 1-night stays, plural), you should have gotten at least 8500 points (8000 points for "3 striaght nights" plus 500 point booking bonus), not counting your elite bonus (you must be elite if you're qualified for this "triple" bonus).
The math you gave would be for 4 1-night stays, not for a 4 night stay. (The booking bonus is per stay, not per night.)
Did I say 4 days? Three. Just seeing if you were awake. For our memories' sake, this was announced on September 29th, with a live date of October 2.
Well, I didn't get my email until yesterday (October 2) at 9:04 am PT. That sure sounds like somewhere less than 1.0 days (but perhaps more than 0.0 days ) to me!

Or maybe that the other one turned out to be a case of, "Ready, fire," and this is the "aim" part -- to catch those of us who only do one night stands.
I wonder if the sleepiness of this board is indicative that many such people already left the room.
I had a three-night stay at an inexpensive Comfort Inn last week and (as a Diamond) got a bit over 9000 points. This week, I essentially repeated the same stay (in fact, a couple dollars a night less as the hotel dropped their rates a bit) and got a bit over 10000 points. So the 1000 extra bonus points from this new promo worked as expected in combination with the "3 straight nights" promo.
