7 hours in Shanghai - luggage?
I just found out I have a 7 hr. layover at Pudong. I am flying Delta from the US and then travel to another Chinese city via Shanghai Airlines that evening.
I have done quite a bit of research the past 2 days and I think our best bet is to take the Maglev in to the city, then the subway to the city center and walk around some of the popular areas. Should I hire a guide for the tour or is it pretty easy to navigate? I travel a fair bit and have been to China before, but not Shanghai.
My second question is about baggage. Will we be able to check our bags at Shanghai Airlines when we get arrive or will we have to store our bags until we get back? If so, is the luggage storage in the same terminal as our departure?
Thanks for the help!

You can store your luggage near the maglev/subway/buses.
No need for a guide.

Maglev is easy to use. From there you can take the subway for a few stops depending on where you are planning to go. Show your boarding pass for a discount on the Maglev.
I am not what would be the point of taking the bus as suggested above as the Maglev is so much faster. However you do not say at what time you'll be there.
No use for a guide.
Yes you can store luggage.
