Guiyang - where to stay, what to do?
Hi all, I am planning to visit Guiyang in the very near future (early July) and would like your input on where to stay.
1 .Sheraton - will get free breakfast here.
2. Hyatt Regency - will get free breakfast here. This is close to the Renaissance, which is far from downtown.
3. Renaissance / Marriott - from reading one of two threads on this entire forum with "Guiyang" in its title, I learned that the Renaissance is not conveniently located. So I'd like to avoid this unless things have drastically changed. Will get free breakfast here.
4. Kempinski - will get free breakfast and comp. upgrade.
5. Novotel - cheapest of the bunch, but looks very nice and new, but I have no status/affiliation with Novotel.
6. Pullman - same as Novotel.
Not that free breakfast or comp upgrade will significantly affect my decision, as location is my top concern, I'd still like to factor those in.
As of what to do - I know some of the local areas for history and culture (two things I love when traveling), but if one were to want to see something like this, where would one go?
