Which section was the totally mess? Nanhu-Nanning East, or the rest from Nanhu towards Macun and Shibu?

Every single point along Line 1 is a mess. If you join our Wechat group, I'll post some pics when I'm there next week.

Especially the part between Xiang Zhu Da Dao and Lang Dong was under heavy construction and some parts were closed for the traffic.

The same for Chao Yang Lu.
Some parts were even closed for pedestrians.

The NN subway is the single most inconveniencing construction project I have ever witnessed, and as you suggested, it feels like a 100 year process.

Is this in the area of China that's been experiencing very cold weather? It would be fun to see a picture of moondog's swimming pool in the tropical garden in the snow.

All of China has been cold for the past several weeks, and southern cities feel colder than northern cities due to lack of central heating, but I would never expect to see snow in nn.

snowfall is virtually unheard of in the city, with a unique exception since 1900: in December 1975 snow fell on the city albeit without sticking to the ground.

Well, Amami had some, and previously had any 115 years ago. Nanning had snow just 40 years ago.
How was December 1975 weather in the rest of China?

Ummm, no (Uber in NN).

BTW, I just came back from there last night, and am pleased to report that the the ground is finally closed over the subway section near our office (Xi Da). This means less dust, traffic, and unsightly construction barriers^

But still so much to do till june.

And hopefully theyīll finish with nn dong railway station too.
The south entrance is still under construction and no signs that itīll change the next time.
