Chicago October 2-4, 2009 -- what's going on those dates?

Is there something going on in Chicago that weekend? I'm seeing rather high weekend rates at all the in-town Hyatts and the Fairmont, but I didn't see any conventions listed at McCormick Place, at least.

Bears game Oct. 4. Against the Lions so they might actually have a chance.

Having had experience with this previously, I'd say that hotels availability/prices will improve over the next couple months. I guess hotels figure they should at least try to get the high rates.

Hotwire and Priceline can be useful in these situations.

That's a useful resource but it seems incomplete. It's not that I'm a fundi on what's on in Chicago, but the one event that I know of is SOFA at the Navy Pier from 6 to 8 November and it's not listed. Last year 35,000 people attended so it's exclusion seems rather surprising.
