The nicest places to eat are Wolfgang Pucks, near the K1 and Macaroni Grill aaround K3. Middle tier is Chili's near H1. For a snack for your trip stop by the new Garrett's popcorn near H1. After those choices, you will be looking at McDonalds and the like.

In the central H-K food court, I think that the best option is Burrito Beach, a local chain operation. The ingredients are fresh and good-quality. It's not Topolobampo or Frontera Grill, but it IS several steps above Taco Hell and other such pseudo-Mecixan fast food. My favorite order is the steak quesadilla, hold the tomato, extra cheese and onions (but b sure to have gum or mints on hands for the flight)

I haven't had Burrito Beach myself since '06, but my Mom just got back from ORD yesterday and got sick from her burrito there. I'd consider some of the other options in the food court, YMMV.

Sorry to hear that your mom's "mileage varied", and I hope she is feeling better.

I've eaten there dozens of times with no adverse effect. I will be flying through ORD on Wednesday but won't need to stop as my upgrades have already cleared.

Sad to hear, but I think it was your mom. Honestly, I've eaten at Burrito Beach countless times, as recently as a couple of days ago. I love it. Always tasty and fresh.
