Classic German Hefeweizen breakfast, Sat. Nov. 14 at 10 am, Flossmoor

The Flossmoor Station brewpub, "Best Small Brewpub in the US 2006," is having a classic German breakfast with Hefeweizen, Weisswurst, etc. on Nov. 14, 10 am. $10 a person.

American-style food also available if you prefer.

$5 for the whole weekend on the Metra system (take the Electric Line from Millennium Station), and it drops you right next door. PM me with questions.

Werner and Willie, I'm looking at you.

Info here, about the 5th item down:

Although I'm neither a Werner nor a Willie, I wish I could. I had weiswurst for breakfast at Oktoberfest in Sept. Alas, it will be banana pancakes for me in Hawaii.

looks good, I'm just not sure if I'll be in Chicago this weekend, will know more towards end of week.

On a side note, I met a FT'er last night that has friends who live near your brewpub, he was interested, as am I, in a brewpub dinner Do down in your neck of the woods.

Any time; just let me know. I'll try to keep you notified about special events/dinners/tappings, or you can look at their website (linked above).

I am the aforementioned FT'er to which Sweet Willie refers and have eaten at Flossmoor Station a couple of times in the past year or so. Yes, I most certainly would be interested in a brewpub dinner Do there in the future. This weekend, however, Mrs. KMA and I will be basking (hopefully) in SAN and won't be able to attend the breakfast. Enjoy the Hefeweizen - Prosit!

Send me a PM if you want to meet up sometime. This is one of their current offerings, which I haven't tried yet (maybe tomorrow):

"Pullman's Reserve on draft. We took a Pullman Brown ale and aged it in a Bourbon barrel for five months. What we get out is an extremely complex, dark, delicious brew. Flavors of oak, bourbon, and Pullman Brown are equally represented and warm the belly at around 8%ABV."

A couple years ago they had a bourbon-barrel-aged Pullman called Moonbeam that was one of the best beers I have ever had.
