Should Global Entry Reciprocity be Required from Other Countries?
CBP lists countries whose citizens can apply for GE.
In the spirit of "reciprocity" shouldn't ALL of those countries allow US citizens enrolled in GE be permitted to sign up for a similar program allowing expedited entry?
[Case in point, Switzerland is in the list, but offers NO equivalent system for US GEers to enter. Generally (but not always) entry into Switz. is pretty quick.]

Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand offer express entry to US citizens (pending an application process) enrolled in GE (Australia has SmartGate for all US citizens).

Since Switzerland has nothing similar to GE, perhaps US GE should be allowed to use the EU-Swiss lines in the spirit of "reciprocity".
[CBP is allowing Swiss Citizens to enroll in GE--but they have NOT offered US GEers anything in return.]

Australia's SmartGate is for ALL US passport holders (and a bunch of other citizenships like Canada, UK, NZ, Singapore and even China is on the list), no membership in GE is required.

Germany and the Netherlands allow registered US citizenes to join the EU lane (and use the E-gates) but there is not such concept as express or priority immigration in the Schengen Area. Of course, use the EU lane is normally faster than the non-EU one, but you'll still need to queue with the rest of the EU lane.

Yes, THOSE do, but Switzerland doesn't--as I noted in my OP.

Germany offers easyPass-RTP to all US (and HKSAR) passport holders regardless of GE status.
Not sure why there should be reciprocity as excessive wait time to clear US CBP is US's own creation. If there is to be reciprocity, Switzerland should make US passport holders wait 60-90 minutes before allowing them into Schengen.

PS: Well before GE, even for citizens entering US, I've been delayed 30+ minutes...but this is the way CBP IS.

Joking aside, the other way to look at this is GE is actually for the benefit of CBP in terms of lower cost to clear GE members.
Swiss airports doesn't have that problem of taking hours to clear immigration. They (last time I checked in Zurich) don't have automated processing for EU passports either. Cost wise, processing a GE member in the EU lane cost just as much as processing them in the All Passport lane. There is no incentive for the Swiss to do this. Germany, on the other hand, have kiosks. So there is an cost incentive to clear non-EU using kiosk which they do under easyPass-RTP.

The US government is absolutely terrible at reciprocity.
