I have renewed my FL DL online. Sometimes when asked for ID I joke "Here is what I looked like 20 years ago." Having such an old picture negates the importance of the need for a PHOTO ID.

They could do what Arizona does... any license issued to anyone under 60 expires on your 65th birthday. In theory you're supposed to stop in every 12 years and get a new photo and a new card, but there's no penalty for not doing it.
