Im a bit curious where the line went if it was a mile long (or so they say).
Its a hell of a place. Haven't flown out of there for a bit though.
Im going to look for pictures...
Some pictures (yup its pretty long):
I like this quote: "The line for TSA at Midway airport leaves the terminal, goes to city train stop, turns around and goes back in. "
In case nobody knows where that is, that is the pathway to the CTA Orange line. You can see the CTA signs overhead.

my personal record was 1 hour 47 minutes in the US citizen lane.
2nd longest was 1 hour 20 minutes, eight months earlier. (time between
getting off the plane and putting my passport on the counter for the CBP
agent)

I'm sure the CTA would love that extra revenue
I hate this corridor so much. I had to ride with my dad to MDW in Jan due to the vortex (Metra was terrible then). It was a cold and long walk (since I couldn't just scooter down it due to a fear of getting caught), not something I want to do again...

What time does TSA open up the checkpoint. I would open it up at least 2 hours earlier then normal. Also do they bring in extra help. Sometimes you will see a backup at ticket ID check where as the screening is not that bad.
I have seen that problem at many airports.

Nobody will get reprimand. This is a great opportunity to ask Peter King for more funding for more clerks.

In addition, the security lines go across a bridge over Cicero Avenue, a very busy thoroughfare. There are signs on Cicero warning drivers to not stop under the bridge. The real security risk, if there is one, is from the street, not from the passengers.
