From the article:
Arriving passengers will have their temperatures checked and be required to complete a questionnaire about recent travel.
I wonder where all the Customs dweebs got their medical degrees? I'll give them booze and cigarettes, but, medical diagnoses?
In addition to the temperature screenings, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have been trained to recognize some possible symptoms.
Just what we need -- more SPOTNiks. "You didn't throw up in front of Dean Wormer. You threw up ON Dean Wormer!"

It may not be intuitive, but the two cities with one-stop connections to the affected countries are Brussels and Casablanca.
That said, I am not convinced that this effort will have very great effect. The likelihood of intercepting someone who has Ebola, is not too sick to travel, but sick enough to be identified, is pretty small.

Up until bleeding from the eyes it could be any of the several colds & similar that I have each year.

Neither DFW nor DAL have direct flights, let alone nonstop flights, to any of the affected countries.

Has anyone thought of the close contact at the Hajj in Saudi Arabia? I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but how the hell is the US and other countries going to stop anyone who may have been exposed to Ebola, not showing symptoms from entering? Statistical and political nightmare.
Perhaps we should make sure St Peters Square is placed on lockdown when you inject some factual information.
About two-fifths of Liberians are Christian, about one-fifth are Muslim, and roughly two-fifths profess other religions, primarily traditional beliefs. The largest number of Christians are the Kpelle, followed by the Bassa. Some Liberians who identify themselves primarily as Christian incorporate traditional beliefs into their personal theologies.
Nothing other than nonsense nightmare.

Maybe because the outbreak in Nigeria has been contained and there are no longer any direct flights from the affected countries to Lagos?

So now we have inbound health security kabuki theater to match outbound terrorism security kabuki theater.
Wonderful.

Just another example of the government responding with the illusion of security. As noted above, our recently deceased victim came through Brussels, not on a direct flight.
