A little too much sauce!

Obviously this BF passenger got a little ahead of himself by starting his vacation on the plane . Now he's up before a judge/district justice in western Ireland for interfering with a flight crew.

I wonder what he did that compelled them to restrain him
while onboard... no indication of that detail in the story.

To me, saying he was "drunk and abusive", but that "no assaults occurred" paints a pretty clear picture of what was going on: they felt it necessary to restrain him to prevent any assaults.
