I'd love to see some FTers ask a few pointed questions of Mr Pistole.
Unfortunately, it is more likely that A) the questions will be phrased in such a way to make our legitimate and serious concerns over the Constitutionality, safety, and effectualness of TSAs current search methodology and policies look like the ravings of a bunch of tin-foil-hat kooks, B) those asking questions will be pre-selected to avoid any embarrassment of the honored guest, and C) if anyone did manage to sneak any uncomfortable questions through, they would be escorted off the premises by security and they'd be put on a government watch list as a 'radical' and a 'potential security risk', causing them all sorts of fun any time they fly in the future.
So even though I live in Baltimore and could easily make it to DC, and easily afford the $37 for a general public ticket, I'm going to slink away in fear of my own government and hide instead.

Having been to the National Press Club's Newsmaker Luncheons during my DC media days, I should explain that the questions aren't asked by a member of the audience speaking at a mic. Instead, participants are asked to write questions on a notecard (several blanks are at each table) and the host of the luncheon, typically an NPC-member reporter who covers that beat, will pick and choose which to read.
These luncheons, by the way, are usually recorded and aired by C-SPAN; typically as middle of the night filler a few days after the event.

A short quote:
A word of advice to the Transportation Security Administration: Quit while you’re ahead. Ostensibly in an effort to counter all its negative and richly deserved criticism over the past two years, the agency of late has embarked on a PR campaign to persuade airline passengers it’s not so bad.

Houston Chronicle: Pistole defends ‘professional way’ airport screeners do their job

Funny how he used the anecdote to complement them on the "thoroughness" of his rub down instead of slamming them for still using metal detectors.

TSA chief John Pistole defends ‘professional way’ airport screeners do their job
A short quote:
[Pistole] told a story about “one of my recent international trips” when he set off the metal detector at “a well-known Western European hub.” A hands-on search of the director ensued, after which Pistole said he complimented that security officer on “the thoroughness of his pat down.”
