Plea Deal In TSA Airport Screener Assault Case

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documen...assault-390182

The Transportation Security Administration employee charged with assaulting a coworker who taunted him about the size of his penis after his genitalia was exposed by a full-body scanner has agreed to attend anger management classes and write a letter of apology as part of a settlement of his criminal case, records show.

What I don't see is - is he still employed by the TSA?
And what is happening with the person who started the whole thing?

Ask and you shall receive....

"In order to protect the privacy of the individual(s) involved, the TSA does not comment on personnel issues"

Meaning of course they are still "personnel" and will remain "personnel"

The "Accountability" post at PV proves they have no problem commenting when TSA believes it helps their image.

He was charged with Agg. Battery which carries up to 15 years in prison; he got 50 hours of community service and 4 months of probation and has to make a $100 donation and to apologize to the pervert/victim. In addition, if he can stay good for 4 months, he wont even have a conviction on his record for anything-- seems like a pretty sweet deal!

I do wonder if the TSA put pressure on the local DA (they've never done that before ) in order to resolve it in the way that best suits the TSA: Not a trial. I'd have to know the general way things go in that courthouse with respect to crimes like this to make an educated guess as to whether someone put a thumb on the scale. A trial would have 'exposed' things the TSA would rather people didn't discuss-- they wanted it swept under the rug and that's what happened.

With respect to his employment, there was a quote about 'zero tolorence for workplace violence' when the incident happened, so my guess is that he was fired. I imagine the victim/pervert was re-trained, but you never know. And the pervert/victim signed off on this-- I doubt he wanted to be on the witness stand.

And now he is assaulting citizens, both verbally and physically. Typical TSA.

Yes, what's most disturbing about this is that the pervert/victim who oh-so-professionally made comments about the size of the Negrin's genitals is very likely still viewing and feeling the genitals of innocent people every day.

And if he is, are they going to issue him a badge with a different name on it?

I know I'd have logorrhea issues if I were to look at my groper and notice the name "Negrin" on the badge...

Later this evening, I'll try "[email protected]" from a throw-away email account and see if it gets kicked back or not.

I'll tell him that we in TS&S support him.

Worse to see the name of the man who made fun of Negrin's genitals, I would think.

I don't think you have to worry about those who started this. To that, I will add that it was made clear to the workforce that incidents such as this will result in termination. You draw your own conclusions, though.

Depends on your point of view. If you're looking for someone to convert from TSA employee to non-TSA employee via shared experiences, Negrin's the one to talk to.

Otherwise, you're just being groped by someone who's obviously there for the power trip - which doesn't significantly differ from any other passenger/TSA interaction.

Would you rather that Negrin, who beat someone up for making fun of his genitals or the person who made fun of those genitals see you naked for your strip search?

And a behavior detection officer in Buffalo (BUF) getting fired and rehired? Finally fired the second time after arrested for her part-time job of escorting money-couriers thru the checkpoint?
