Meals at Disney World Coding

Based on actual experience, does anyone know if meals charged at restaurants within WDW are coded as restaurants (for the 3% on Sapphire Reserve) or as theme park / entertainment which is only 1%?

can only speak for Disneyland but yes, most restaurants in Disneyland will code as restaurants. Even the churro cart does too.

hope that helps.

Yes thanks. Would like some confirmation on WDW as well.

A few years ago, in Las Vegas, using a different card that gave a bonus for restaurants, I found several restaurants located in hotels were coded as hotels and so I got no bonuses for any of them.

Some do and some dont after doing some look around.
Source here

if your staying at a Disney hotel, your best bet is to charge everything to your magic band and then it comes out onto one charge as Hotels. that will code 3x on your CSR.

If you're staying at a Disney hotel, just charge everything to your room and you'll get the 3% back.
