Basic Entry Information:
If you have never used a Priority Pass lounge click HERE to read how it works.

philemer's PP card arrived 20 days following approval of CSR. Others have reported an even quicker delivery. Yes, it comes via USPS.
Authorized User will receive their own PP card.

The PP Select membership offered through the CSR now includes digital pass access. Sign up in advance here: https://www.prioritypass.com/chasedmc
Note: Some lounges may not accept the digital pass. Make sure to check the PP lounge directory details for the specific lounge you plan on visiting.

To sign up for Priority Pass Select, as soon as the account shows up online:
1. Click on Go To Ultimate Rewards.
2. Scroll down to the very bottom left and click on "Card Benefits"
3. Activate Membership to request card.
4. Card can't be expedited. Some members have reported success in charging the lounge access to their CSR account and requesting a refund from Customer Service. However, others have reported that the lounge access was refunded via the travel credit.

if I rate the wing next door as 5-star, the premium plaza is 1 star.
There are actually 4 Plaza Premium lounges at HKG, although only the two primary departure lounges and the arrivals lounge are available for PP.

As cyster2007 indicated, the one by Gate 40 is dramatically better than the one by Gate 1. Both of them are quite busy, but the Gate 40 lounge is very large and quite nice.

I've also used HK and other Plaza Premium lounges a number of times, and have almost always brought guests with me, no problems. In fact, I typically bring my wife, 5 year old, and 2 year old with me on my card. My wife has her own card if need be but we we have never needed to check in on separate cards.

Don't expect to be too impressed. It's a large lounge, but there's not much on offer.

I just activated the membership via the UR link and probably won't be able to get my CSR or PP membership cards before my trip later this week.

Is there a way to obtain my membership number before either cards arrive so I can use the lounges? I know the lounges I will be using accepts digital passes, but unfortunately I need the PP membership number in order to create the account on the website and app.

Thanks for the help!

Chase has reportedly opted out of the electronic option for its valued cardholders.

It's easy to say such when we don't know what PP wanted in terms of cost to Chase. I don't think it would be a lot, but I also know that we can't and won't know what that is.

Regarding other options, there is a discussion on this thread earlier about Chase rebating charges, but you have to have your CSR already in hand. Not sure there's much that festriaqua can do about it at this point.

If you're not checking bags, I'd just go straight to T6 for the Boardroom. I went to KAL last weekend out of curiosity and the physical space is impressive for "domestic" access, but Boardroom and their beers on tap win me over. You're not going to get any good food in either one.

thanks for pointing out the gate 40 premium plaza is better. the one I went was near gate 1 (CX the wing lounge). I had access to SQ lounge so I went there after the short visit to premium plaza (gate 1).

most if not all CX lounges are great at HKG, as well as the SQ and qantas lounges. so if you have access to them, suggest you skip PP lounges.

I fly CX J class but 4 of my friend are not, so still have to bring them in before I head to Wing

Looks like I'm going to get the CSR card before my trip.

Now I have a different question. I know CSR refunds the PP access if you don't have the membership card yet, but they also automatically apply the $300 travel credit to your account as well. How do I go about getting the PP fee waived if it's going to be auto refunded by my travel credit?

I would say instead... Most if not all CX, SQ, and Qantas lounges are great. Period. LOL. Definitely better than what most others have to offer, including PP regardless of location. Unfortunately, I usually fly on my own dime and typically for a family of 4 so sadly don't get to use them.

Call customer service. They will take care of it for you, and I believe there is a limit of up to 4 charges waived per year?

I've only seen one report on Chase refunding the PP fee and it wasn't auto-refunded by the travel credit. The cardholder had to call Chase to ask that the PP fee be refunded and it was - by Chase applying the PP fee against the travel credit.

Chase said they'd refund the PP fee for visits prior to receipt of the card; the fact that they (apparently) choose to do so by using part of your travel credit is unfortunate.

Applied for CSR on Sept 17. Received CSR card on 20th via UPS. Activated PP on the 21st. Received PP Select Card today on the 29th Sept. Overall, a decent turnaround.
