The 100K offer with staggered spend is live again. (9/17/15)

50K, 75K or 100K offer https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ba/nonaep?CELL=6H8X
Public link on Chase.com
https://creditcards.chase.com/credit...H0&list=4,2,1&
50,000 Avios after $2000 in purchases within the first 3 months
25,000 Avios after an additional $8000 in purchases within the first year
25,000 Avios after an additional $10000 in purchases within the first year
(Thus, a total of $20000 spend for 100,000 Avios)
Annual fee $95 NOT waived
Card earns 1 Avios/$ on everyday spend
Warning: Avios do not work like other types of miles and points
The British Airways system is distance based, priced per segment, with very high fees and fuel surcharges possible, depending on the airline flown. In particular, redemptions for British Airways flights are often the worst value. Therefore, one of the most popular uses of points is for short-haul flights on partner airlines.
Make sure you understand the program thoroughly before you apply for this card, as whining may be considered off-topic. Most questions and advice have already been given within this thread.

Good lawd... More avios for me.
still not a great deal esp with all the 5x bonuses out there, but maybe worth it for 241 ticket and the 50k after 1k in purchases. 100k is too hard to get with the 20k in spend for most people, esp with all the other opportunities out there.
Is the other option gone, 100k after $150 in fees?

This seems to be a better deal than last year's 50/50 that also had $75 charged at first purchase, and another $75 at the 1 year anniversary.
The T&C for this offer say annual fee $95 - but I can't find a mention of the $75/$75 as was charged in April's offer explained here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...d-150-fee.html
That April offer also had the $95 annual fee.
Thoughts?

So basically if you're in for 20K you're in for 30K to get the companion ticket.
too expensive in terms of fuel surcharges

I think it all depends on what you value your travel at. I was able to utilize the mint deal to get us to the 30K spend requirement. We are using ours 2 4 1 to fly F to Europe next spring. True it's about $2K in fuel surcharges but those tickets would normally cost us $30K if we bought them outright (which we never would). I think it's up to the individual and what they want.Originally Posted by stupidzbu

There's definitely some value with the 50K points for folks who already had their eyes on a BA award with the upcoming/possible/hopeful MR-->Avios bonus. This would be a good way to help hold on to some MR.
