My Card was approved yesterday and it was sent by Rush mail today. I called the CSR and spoke about the offer. She didn't confirm straightaway about the $50 credit, but said she'd added a note regarding the same. Lets see how this works out.

I have called United to receive this offer on my new account, and used Chase's SM to do the same for my wife. Will let you all know, we just got these cards 2 weeks ago

I believe I recently saw mommypoints posting that one of her friends got the 65K United offer with 55K after the first spend. I think I am going to try to see if I can get the additional 5K miles (worth at least $100 to me) rather than the extra $50 credit.

Might that have been 50K AFP and then 5K for adding authorized user? That's the deal I got.

Also, I got the card 6 weeks ago, any chance I can get in on the statement credit?

Yeah I believe you are right, although it could be targeted, was yours targeted?

For those of you wondering, about trying to get the $50 matched. I've sent a secured message to Chase earlier today using Million Mile Secrets' template and got a reply six hours later saying they would honor it and credit $50 statement to my next billing cycle.

I signed into my MP account and then clicked on the link. It went right to the 50k+10k plus $50 statement credit.

This card is great, signed up for it a few months ago. Unfortunately missed out on the $50 statement credit but with no spending requirements made this card a good one to grab for the easy 50k miles

I have had a continental one pass card since 2010. Just called chase and the csr confirmed that if I cancel my current card and apply for the new offer I would receive the bonus miles etc. Not sure if it's because my original card was a continental vs a united one.

I am not seeing the 50k +$50 offer..just the $40 offer..i'm logged into my united account...tried in incognito as well..no luck on the 50$

I just tried it again to make sure it was still working and it is. What I did was use the 2nd link posted, signed in, closed out of that window since it's only the 60k offer (no $50), then clicked the link in the OP. There's probably a less complicated way to do it, but I couldn't find another way.

MileagePlus® Explorer Card:
You will first be considered for a Visa Signature card. If you do not qualify for the Visa Signature card, you will automatically be considered for a Visa Platinum. Earn up to 60,000 Bonus Award Miles:

50,000 Bonus Miles:
With this bonus offer you will qualify and receive 50,000 bonus miles and a $50 statement credit after your first use of the card. First use includes using your account for purchases or balance transfers, or using any checks that access your account; cash advances are not included. After qualifying, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for bonus miles to post to your account. This one-time bonus offer is only valid for first-time United MileagePlus Explorer Card members with new accounts. Previous and existing United Airlines cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer. These miles do not count toward Premier® status. If your account is not open for at least six months, United and Chase reserve the right to deduct the bonus miles from your MileagePlus Program account.

Priority Boarding:

United Club Passes:

Earn MileagePlus Miles:
You will earn 1 mile for each $1 of net purchases. You will earn an additional 1 mile for each $1 of net purchases mile for each $1 of net purchases made directly from United (for a total of 2 miles). As a one-time bonus each calendar year, once you reach $25,000 or more in net purchases you will receive 10,000 miles. For your first year as a cardmember, calendar year means the period beginning with your enrollment date through December 31st of that same year. Miles will be posted to your account 4-6 weeks after the billing cycle when you qualify for the bonus. There is no maximum number of miles that you can accumulate in the program. Miles Don't Expire:

UNITED MILEAGEPLUS VISA SIGNATURE CARD PROGRAM INFORMATION:
Individuals whose requests for this offer are not approved will not be enrolled in MileagePlus through this request, although existing MileagePlus members will remain enrolled in MileagePlus.
