Hello,

I have a question and I'd appreciate any assistance anyone can give me.

I had this card less than 24 months ago so I won't qualify but it do see the 80,000 miles plus $50 at the bottom of the page when I look for a hotel.

My wife has never had this card but does not see the offer, she only sees the 60,000 plus no $50 credit.

Question is this: can i click through my log in and apply for her?

It is targeted per account, so it will not work. I tried that for my wife when I got the 80k/$50 and they wouldn't budge one bit. The best I was able to do for her was a match to the 80k points and no $50 statement credit.

the person above you had a (similar) issue, if you bothered to read it... if you aren't targeted, you can't match for both 80k+$50

take the points..

You can buy IHG points at 0.7 cents per point....

at $50/20k = 0.25 cents per point. 20k can redeem for a normal cat 2-3 hotel retailing at >$80

I got the 70k card, messaged chase and they happily added the 10k bonus points to match the targeted offer

Ah, I didn't realize, I thought the other person had a different scenario. I went through the IHG site, thats where I was given the 60k/$50 offer. Anyways, thank you, I will be taking the points as you suggested.

I just applied for the 70k offer. Has anyone recently (past couple weeks) successfully SMed and gotten the 80k offer? If so, when is the best time to do that? After meeting min spend, or immediately?

I did so a couple of weeks ago, after getting approved. Sent them a SM as soon as the new card showed up on my Chase profile (which was almost instantly). They approved it the next day and my card didn't even arrive until a week or so after.

Already met the $1000 spend but my statement doesn't close for 3 weeks Let's see if the full 80k post.

I'll know soon if my wife gets her extra 10k points since her statement closes tomorrow.

Thanks - I actually just saw th 80k+$50 offer on ihg.com so I SMed Chase.

Also wondering if I can transfer credit limit from other Chase Visa cards? I got a 2k limit on the IHG but have $15k on a United card I'm going to sock drawer as soon as I meet min spend. Will they transfer some of that CL over?

Last month, after successfully applying for the card, I immediately SMed Chase and got them to agree to give me an extra 10k after I qualified for the 70k. My statement just closed and I received the 70k. I'm still waiting for the extra 10k, but it's early yet.

Chase has not yet matched anyone to the 80k/$50 offer, and the only way to get it is to apply from that link. But let us know what they say.

Chase will always reallocate existing credit lines between cards, just send them a SM and let them know what you'd like the new allocation to be.

This is SO 'old news'. Chase has radically changed their policies in the past few days. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go here:

As the saying goes, 'read it and weep'

You are very lucky you applied when you did.

Brugge why are you going on and on about this on multiple threads? You sound like the kid on the playground who's taking his ball and going home because he didn't like the way the game was going.

What's Brugge trying to say? They are no longer matching 80k points?
