Got my points as well a few days after I posted payment. I paid right after the statement closed, but I'm not sure if that mattered.

Is there a way I can earn another 50,000 through another Southwest card? I know there is a business version that at one point gave 50,000 points as well. Realize it's a long shot, but I'm trying to see if I can get 100,000 miles in one calendar year so I can have a companion pass next year. Don't think I can get there on miles/offers alone.
Anyone else had any success with this? If I'm not mistaken, earning 100,000 points in a calendar year gets you a free companion pass for the following calendar year.

I obtained both 50,000 cards when they were available. You need 110,000 for the Companion Pass.

I can earn another 10k to get to 110 if I can get the 50k. Looks like right now just 20k on any links I can find for the business card from Southwest. If there's a link I don't know about I'd love to take a shot at another 50,000 from the business card.

If you're flying internationally, Southwest won't get you there at all (except with the incredibly bad redemption option thru the credit card program).
If you're flying domestically, Southwest awards are only a good option when the cost of the flight is low, since the points work like cash.
Might want to do more research on the airline-specific forums here before applying for anything.

Man, it's too bad I missed the 50k business card offer. I'd have liked to have tried for both bonuses, too.

The app. page I have bookmarked still comes up. Try https://applynowdc1.chase.com/FlexAp...F01&SPID=DHT6#
I also got a targeted email for the 50K about a 10 days ago. Not sure if I'll apply or maybe jump on the Hyatt or PC offer.

Made my first purchase on 9/2, statement closed on 9/3, paid on 9/5, but still awaiting the 50,000 miles to post to my RR account.
Called Chase RR customer service, but they gave the typical response to wait 4-6 weeks.

My statement closed on September 8, 2011. Statement mentioned the miles being forwarded to Southwest. I called the Rewards office and they say wait a couple of days and I should see it on Tuesday the latest.
EDIT- just checked Southwest and I see my bonus miles there.
