Panamanian history: the Darien scheme

Does anyone know if there's some place in or around Panama City (or really anywhere else) that I could learn about the Scottish scheme to colonize the Darien gap area? E.g. a local history museum, historical society, archaeological site... On my layover I'd like to do something more unique than just see the Canal.
