CX 881 04/27 Late arrival?
Hey,
both CX app as well as flightstats are expecting an arrival time for CX 881 about an hour later as scheduled, despite no announced departure delay. That effectively leaves me with 29 minutes until CX691 would depart. I know HKG can be efficient and I have no bags, but what is actually happening here
Are they expecting strong headwinds? Adjustment of course?
Not that I'm worried - I expect them to put me on either 759 or 739.

It is conclusive enough to say that you will miss your flight at HKG as you will connect below the MCT.
Bottom line - expect a rebooking.

In my road warrior days a few years back I (and my bags) have made 30 minute CX-CX connections at HKG, MCT notwithstanding. So if you do arrive with 30mins or more try to be first off the plane and look for CX staff with your name.

Probably headwinds but rather interesting. 881 and 883 were the only two flights to take a long route and an hour-long delay. Quick glance at similar flights (I tried CX897, CX885, AA193, CX873, SQ1 and CX855) all went polar instead without delay...perhaps CX chose payload over OTP for 881 and 883 last night?
Makes me wonder how HX will handle YVR-HKG when winds are strong. Of course I hope they fail to
