CX101 - Which Aircraft?
Seat Guru shows CX101 HKG - SYD as a regional 777 - with recliners in J. Is this correct, on a 9+ hour flight?
I'm booked to fly this on 30/12 and if it is a regional 777 I'm going to have to change

No, that's not correct.
Seat guru doesn't automatically redirect you to the right version of the aircraft, only the flight model.
CX101 should be operated by 77G (777-300ER without FIRST)
*The regional seats are installed on the 777-200/300s, not the long haul 777-300ER variant.

Regional J class is always flown within Asia.

It's definitely a Boeing 777-300ER with international-grade lie-flat seats - I've flown this several times over the past months, most recently last week, so all's good!

Bumping up this old thread
I am reviving this old thread to clarify the seats used on CX 101. This thread says that it is lie flat seats but a thread a month or so earlier says it is a regional J -

What is the current situation?
Fleet info we have on FT suggests it is a 359.
KVS tool suggests that it is regional lie flat
EF even suggests that it is a 4 class flight with F installed but not used.
Which is the case?
Thank you.

Where do you get the idea that the Fleet Info thread suggests regional J?
CX101 is 777-300ER with J/W/Y with either 9 or 10 abreast.
Check the last week’s flights on Flightradar24. It’s not a regional-substitution route - it’s a dire emergency if they put a regional aircraft on it.

And KVS tool when you click on seatplan but it may not be accurate.

I would also assume even when there is an regional flight came in, they will rebook their J pax to other CX or QF flights.
