- Great Start (I'm assuming I don't spend this in any Rewards of Your Choice merchant, like my dermo): $1.85/AM
jokelib just pointed out this is 400RC not 500RC. So the earn rate is $2.27/AM...

Citi Rewards 50K points for $50K spend/quarter 2016

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo....php?id=17015#
https://www.citibank.com.hk/english/...wards-card.htm

But this means spending 12.5K without 5X (monthly cap is $12.5K/month and there's only three months in a quarter?) .

Last year's was 25K points for $10K spend per month http://web.archive.org/web/201501270...wards-card.htm . At least that would've earned 5X fully.

Yes of course I did. I use Premiermiles for all my overseas spending. Now I'll switch to the Prestige.

Will continue to look out for special offers on the Premiermiles.

Yes, I'd pay money for the miles. Sure it's not as great as it was previously but it's still acceptable to me.

SCB Worldmiles redemption fee waiver to 31 Oct

Hat tip pc_lau http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...p?id=16999&p=2 #20

Checked it with SCB CS, yes it is. As with previous promos I believe it's possible to combine other non-Worldmiles points balances in for redemption.

I think it's a one-off waiver only so I'll wait til 31 Oct to do it.

https://www.sc.com/hk/credit-cards/t...s.html#mileage

These T&C don't seem to mention it being a once-per-year rebate like they have previously?

It also sucks because I did a SCB mileage conversion on 22 October.....and this offer kicked in 1 November.

Sorry percysmith I don't understand the waiver thing. Why are they refunding it?

I redeemed miles from my SCB Amex in late November 2015. So I'll get a $300 rebate automatically?

If they don't give it to me by 29 March 2016 (one month after the last day of the "fulfillment period") then I need to call them on 29 March.

CCB 939 and Credit Card Refunds

Just charged an A$800 deposit to a CCB card, which will be refunded in a month or so's time (i.e. during phase 3 of CCB or shortly afterwards) and so to figure out the impact of this on how I make sure I hit the $12,800 spending on that card for each phase of CCB 939?

Any experience on whether CCB really does reclaim the bonus points for any transaction that's refunded (I know it is in the T&C)? And whether they do it from the period when the original transaction posted (in this case, phase 2)? Or the period when it's refunded (which will probably be phase 3)?

Psychiatrist - a small promo they're running. Yes it's charged at first then refunded. I didn't know the start date but I thought it was a once-off for early 2015 only (I didn't know another one was run this year).

Since it's refunded before promo points credit date it is subject to clawback. I think it will be counted against period 2.
