Sorry, I realised while I was thinking of bgrove, cxfan1960 referred to nsolitude.

Are you still talking about ORD?? The BA J lounge has an entire stir-fry cooking station - you pick the ingredients, they cook it for you (and in front of you). I loved it...

That has not been the case for my last three visits. Am I missing something? Is this in Terminal 5? Maybe they don't operate that for CX flights?

My wife and I are flying CX F ord/hkg on 4/15 connecting from DCA. I had planned to spend as much time as possible in the AA FS lounge. However, if the BA J lounge has the stir fry station I would definitely want to take advantage of that. So I second nsolitude's question.

ORD Lounge question

A link on the Lounge sticky directed me to the CX website which shows the following opening hours of the BA lounge at ORD:

BA Business Class Lounge

Location: Terminal 5 between gates M11 and M12
Opening Hours: 28 OCT 2013 - 30 MAR 2014: 1030 - 1400
31 MAR 2014 - 27 OCT 2014: 1200 - 1530

So do J and F pax for the 0100 departure just hang around the gate or is there another lounge usable up until departure?

ORD Lounge question

I don't think the second flight has started yet. I would imagine that when it does they'll make arrangements to have a lounge open late.

Whens your flight? CX801 does not launch until August...
I'm sure CX will eventually update their website and contract BA's lounge to open in the evening for the midnight departure. There's also the possibility of CX opening their own lounge soon, as discussed up-thread.

Same thing showed up on search with EWR , but clearly when the CX flight started, CX kept BA lounge open long enough for that flight... either same will happen for ORD or they will make alternative lounge arrangements for that flight... CX is good and sorting that stuff out before operating

4 hours early? That's unfortunate, but at least the walkway had more room than the First lounge. It's impossibly tight space for a lounge.

In the future if you're connecting from an AA flight, try the Flagship Lounge in T3. I waited in the FL right up to 2pm before I checked in at T5 for the CX 3p flight. The CX checkin desk looked worried that we had not yet shown up; but since we were First they escorted us through the long security lines, through security and directly to the lounge doors.

Were they only open from 2PM onwards? The CX website suggests they open Noon - 3:30PM. I'll be flying on 807 in about a month, and will probably plan to stay in the AA Flagship Lounge in T3 until then.

Connecting from a domestic AA flight to CX807 (with 7hr connection...); looks like best bet is to stay in the FL until at least 2pm. Are there any private rooms where one can get some zzz's in any of the lounges or showers even?

If your question is about the AA lounge you are probably better off searching / asking in the AA forum.
