I just made a F RT to Singapore, 77D there and 74A back. Luckily no swaps.

Having flown the two birds within a very short while of each other, let me just say that the 74A is an absolute beauty in F and I'll be very sad to see it go. The 77W just can't compare.

Of course, on the 74A trip I was the only F passenger and I had a team of two outstandingly lovely FAs all to myself But even putting that aside, the feel of the two aircraft is very different. I did 1K on both flights and on the 74A it felt like my private jet.

Not that the service would be any didn't on SQ given that they block F even more rigorously than CX.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. My post basically said that I successfully completed an F round trip without getting subbed, and that the F atmosphere in a 74A outshines a 77W any day.

Where do SQ's F blocking practices fit into the picture?

Also SQ does not operate 744 anymore.

I had a 74A swapped out a few hours before my flight. Luckily, they sent a 77D to take its place (and I was in J).

I will be doing sin-hkg-tpe in less than 2 weeks.

I changed from red eyes flight (which is 77w) to 8am flight which will be on 744. So both my sin-hkg and hkg-sin will be on 744.

What to expect in y class?

Sliding seat?

It's that hardshell seat aka the back breaker. I had a sore back from it even though it was only a 3.5 hours hkg-sin flight last week.

Yep. That's it. Be extra nice to the aviation god from now until the flight... Although I had an op-up on the redeye a couple of weeks ago, so anything's possible.

I can still book y class seat last night on CX710, although at the highest fare. So the chance is 50/50.

For return CX735 is sold out, I think higher chance

I just check, now both CX710/735 are sold out in economy

CX710 has still 4 seat on C class for sales and likewise in F

Cx735 does not seems have any avail on C also and F only left 2 seat for sales

In the even all classes are sold out what will happen?

People will be bumped off to next available flight or transferred onto another airline with available seats.
