Worst case of DYKWIA...
Shocking and appalling - this riles me up beyond words. Anyone seen this incident before? Any follow up?

It is never, ever acceptable to use language such at this towards a member of staff - whatever has gone wrong. If it had happened in the UK or the US they would have been arrested and/or denied boarding - quite rightly. I hope CX banned the lot of them for life and had I been in the lounge at the same time I would told them to behave in no uncertain terms.

Awful display of behaviour.
1) I would arrest him for verbally abusing CX staff (regardless of if he found them helpful or not)
2) I would have him thrown out of the lounge
3) I would have him banned from flying CX again after finishing his ticket
4) I would have HK Airport police escort him out asap
No need to behave like that no matter what has happened. And think about all the other people in the lounge who have a right to be there.... I could just say to him myself: "I havent flown First Class from SFO to sit in a premium lounge and have to witness that...."

Quite correct - which is why I am highlighting this case and hopefully can bring more information to light. The tolerance shown by staff and police here does not mean the stereotypical boorish expat behavior can continue.

They didn't sound Australian to me. Sounded more like a typical American. Americans have a habit of going off like that. But I digress.
Either way, awful display of behavior indeed. Then again, you have folks at customer service going off like that too.

Little children throwing a tantrum and yes the Police did arrive...

Probably Police escorted the pax to plane but did not press charges. Didn't hear about this guy being arraigned for trial.
Yes the guy was repulsive but really IRROPs can be so hard to deal with for the uninitiated, which I will give the benefit of the doubt for the tight pants guy for.

You're far too kind. Whatever the problem his behaviour was utterly inexcusable. If he worked for me and I came across this he'd be fired.

I'm from HK, born and raised. I understand the terrible level of service this city unfortunately has. But it doesn't excuse this type of verbal assault, one that the man in the video knows he could get away with in HK yet would find himself in a very different situation had this been in - as aforementioned - the US or UK or even Australia.

Though slightly off topic, to be fair, he did have a North American accent while the person filming the video had an Australian topic.
Can we submit this to Apple Daily or Coconuts? They seem to like posting this kind of stuff..

What is submitting this to Apple Daily or Coconuts going to accomplish? The situation has already been dealt with, its not like hes some internationally famed lawyer either. Best to not give people the attention they deserve.

Guy ranting definitely not Australian. Guy talking at end Australian or maybe NZ - slight twang. Doubt they are lawyers - don't sound intelligent.
No excuses for this behaviour.
