CX J Menus 2015

Cathay Pacific Business Class Menu Thread for the year of 2015

Inspired from CGK's highly organized and successful SQ F/J/Y menu thread, I think we should start one for the CX Forum. I will volunteer to organize the title thread and put all the information in some kinds of formats. Since lots of folks always ask what CX is serving on a particular route, why don't we start something similar to CGK in SQ forum? I know some of you don't care about it, but for those who care about it, hopefully it will be a helpful guide to present and future CX flyers.

If you don't want to type out the menu, feel free to scan it, feel free to take a picture from your iPhone and then email it to [email protected], I will type it out.

CX 270: AMS-HKG J menu [didn't write down the menu so titles are approximative)

LUNCH:

(warm cashew nuts with drinks)

gravadlax salmon and Dutch shrimp
Mixed leaf salad with feta cheese and roasted pears

Choice of main:
- Braised pork served with sautéed pak choi and pumpkin, jasmine rice
- Roasted cod on watercress coulis, grilled and roasted vegetable
- Slow roasted veal brisket with seasonal vegetable and parsleyed new potatoes
- Fusilli pasta with vegetarian sauce

Cheese: Port Salut, Smoked gouda and Rochebaron (served with crackers and red grape) and whole fresh fruit (apples, bananas)
chocolat raspberry dome (not dome-shaped by the way) with raspberry coulis

SNACKS ON REQUEST:

Haagen Dasz ice creams (vanilla or chocolate)
smoked ham and gouda sandwich with mustard butter
noodles with fish and shrimp cake in broth

BREAKFAST:

Cut fruit
Bircher muesli
Choice of pastries (croissant, muffin, bread)

Choice of main:
- Egg "soufflé" with roasted tomato, spinach sautéed mushroom, and streaky bacon
- Congee
- Cold continental plate with ham, salami, cheese, more smoked gouda etc.

Special wine promotion was Chilean wines in addition to the regular wine menu.

Duck Salad Starter & the Soup in the cup.


Shrimp with Rice. It's actually not THAT spicy for people who don't really eat spicy food. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and fresh.

PS. The Male to Hong Kong sector is now departing earlier at 9:20pm, and the meal has changed from supper to a full dinner service. The quality of the meal catered from Male was however disappointing. I barely touched the appetizer, and the entrée selection is limited. The dessert is identical to the inbound, which means pretty bad catering planning on CX side.
