CX785 & CX784 (HKG-DPS): Which aircraft?

Which aircraft is used for the HKG-DPS route? Is it 777? 747? or A330? The CX rep told me last night it would be A330, but the itinerary I got post-call says 777-300...so I am a little confused. We will be flying Business - which Business seat configuration would it be? Any help would be appreciated!

Bali is usually operated by Boeings. Mostly 773 and 772's. But during the Summer months, you'll see 77W's and 747's.

Make a dummy booking in business on cathaypacific.com and check the seat map.

Does this get equipment swapped a lot? Just booked this for January 2016 and hoping chances are good it gets swapped for a more desirable seat map than 2 x 3 x 2 in Business.

Seldom gets swapped any more. Very consistently the regional 773 (not either version of the 77W).

Darn. Oh well, maybe something will change in the next year or so.

Your real problem will be the 2-3 hour wait at DPS for immigration, assuming this is peak season travel. Good luck. I've sworn off CX785 and now fly through SIN so I can be on the first international arrival of the morn (the SQ flight that arrives around 0930). Sorry to bring bad news, just wanted to advise that your DPS vacation is going to get off to a nasty start.

My hotel offered to a Fast Track arrival service for 35 USD. Best 35 I ever spent. I was through customs in < 20 minutes, including waiting for baggage.

How recent? We've been arranging fast track for years, but in 2014 the authorities did away with it. Rumour is it may have made its return, but I have yet to confirm. Even in August of 2014 places were accepting reservations but a day or two before arrival they emailed saying they couldn't do it.

Awesome! Let the good times roll. Collectively, we wasted close to 12 hours (over several arrivals) at the airport last summer. This is fantastic news. Thank you.

The long waits seem to have been mostly resolved. Fast track (corruption) is no longer offered - though as it is Indonesia there may be exceptions.

The prior post indicates Fast Track has been restored, a considerable relief.

Thanks for raising that as a potential issue as I didn't know about it...we'll be there in January which is rainy season, so I assume not high season? I'll check in on the immigration/fast track options closer to the trip and see what is happening then. That really would be a crappy way to start off the second leg of our honeymoon.
