Yes since jacobsleather is also a DM who has access to JAL F so what's wrong with my comment comparing JAL F and CX J lounge? On the other hand, if you think home turf F lounge is always nicer than J lounge, I bet to differ. I personally prefer QF J lounge in HK than The Wing F any time for example.
If CX's HND lounge serves good noodles I shall be tempted to go over there for my next trip to Tokyo.

The JL F lounge in HND always seems to be empty for the CX flights, so if you want to be away from the crowd I'd say it's a good choice. However my impression is that food is somewhat mediocre at those hours when compared with the NRT JL F lounge.

Teppanyaki stand in JAL F is good but not always operating.
Atmosphere of CX lounge much better in my view. JAL lounge rather sterile.

Just tried JL F and CX J in early afternoon. CX was far superior. Better whiskey (Hibiki and Yamazaki; JL only had the latter). Much better food (JL's was quite minimal). Much better wifi (JAL's took 5 minutes to connect). Full bar. Espresso service.
The only advantages of the JL F lounge were Grand Sičcle champagne, the beer machine, and the decor in the Red Suite.

But give it a go, and if you can make sure you head for the library hidden at the back, there is a great model of a Boeing 2707 SSC in JAL colours.

As JL FLounge HND is a oneworld lounge I do not see why CX F passenger without OW status would fail to meet its entry requirements. OP should be totally fine.

Hi,
Will be flying from HND back to HKG on 30th Nov ( Sat) on the 1640 flight. I have read from the JAL Forum that the JL F lounge will be closed from 29th Oct so will be visting the CX lounge ( the HND lounge was empty in the morning a few years ago before a BA flight back to LHR) and is better than the CX NRT lounge. Will report back in December.
Regards

Does anyone have recent experience from HND? - Flying out of there in a few weeks and understand that the JL F lounge is closed for renovation, and that the alternatives as OWE in J are JL Sakura Skyview Lounge or the CX one. Which is preferable these days?

was on CX549 yesterday and the Sakura Skyview (5F) has become a temporary F lounge while the one below it (4F) is for OWS.
